Who We Are
Meet Jennifer Riggs
Director of Dementia Services
Jennifer Riggs brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role as Director of Dementia Services at Dementia Family Support. As a Certified Assisted Living Administrator and Certified Dementia Practitioner, Jen has dedicated her career to creating a culture that better understands and supports individuals living with dementia.
Jen began her journey in assisted living as a concierge, working her way up to Executive Director. Her time in the field gave her firsthand experience in supporting residents and their families. Later, as the New Jersey Outreach Coordinator for Rothkoff Law Firm, she gained a deeper understanding of the importance of planning and connecting with the right resources for seniors and their families.
Driven by her commitment to dementia education, Jen pursued certifications through Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care (PAC), becoming a Certified Trainer, Consultant, and Coach. These programs equipped her to provide hands-on training, community education, and support for both families and professionals.
Her most profound lessons came from caring for her father, Richard, who lived with both vascular and Alzheimer’s dementia. As his advocate, she gained invaluable insight into the emotional challenges families face. Though he passed in January 2024, his memory fuels her mission to inspire greater understanding and compassion for those affected by dementia.
In addition to her work with Dementia Family Support, Jen supports Visiting Angels of Cape May and Cumberland County, helping care partners create person-centered environments for individuals living with dementia. Her ultimate goal is to inspire a world that truly embraces and respects seniors, especially those with dementia.
In her free time, Jen enjoys family game nights, vacations, and spending time with her loved ones, pets, and friends. She lives by the motto of making someone smile every day.
